Hello and a very warm welcome to all of you who are taking the courageous step to find a therapist to help you with your concerns. I have a relational approach to how I work with you. That is, the therapeutic relationship we form is based on working in partnership together. We are both experts, you are the expert of you and I have professional expertise.  This forms a strong foundation for you to feel empowered and be able to begin to resolve your concerns.

My ethos is that successful counselling comes from a safe and trusting relationship guided by professional principles.  I treat all people I meet respectfully, regardless of gender, sexual-orientation, disability, ethnic origin or religion.

During my career, I have amassed over 15 years of Mental Health experience working with vulnerable adults.  This includes working in a variety of Mental Health settings; on acute psychiatric wards, in the community and in supported living units.  I have also worked in Dementia care, and with adults with Learning Disabilities. This experience has enabled me to build skills to help and support my clients to make positive changes to their lives, whatever they may be facing.

Clients have often commented on how comfortable and safe they feel in therapy with me.  I make it an absolute priority to facilitate a safe space for my clients to explore their emotions and thoughts, vocalise their fears, concerns and assumptions in an environment free of judgement.

Therapy can have a really positive effect on your life.  You will experience personal growth, healing and learn so much about your unique self.

You are worth investing in.
